Frequently Asked Questions...

How long have you been in the trade? We have been in the decorating trade since 1981.

Which areas do you work in? We carry out painting and decorating work in Hull and the surrounding areas of the East Riding. Have a look at the map in the Find Us page, that shows the area we work.

Can you supply references? Yes, we have have references from previous customers on the testimonials page.

How much do you charge, and can you quote me over the phone? We believe in pricing each job after a site visit, when we would provide a FREE written quote.

When could you start my job? The more notice you give us, the better. We will always try to cater for clients needs but are often booked in advance.

Can I supply the materials for the job? Yes, we can quote for labour only if the customer requires, we advise the customer on materials in all instances.

Do you have experience of period properties? We have extensive experience on all types, styles and ages of buildings from Georgian to new-builds, including those with a protected and listed status.

What's the difference between a quote and an estimate? A quote is a fixed price, including all labour and material costs. An estimate is an open ended price that could change. We quote on every job.

Do you supply dust sheets? For every job your property or premises will be sheeted up to stop any damage being done. We pride ourselves on leaving every job clean and tidy.

Will I have to move any furniture? If the customer is unable to move any furniture around we will happily do so. Any area where work is going to be carried out should be cleared of unnecessary objects (pictures taken off walls etc.) to ensure a safe working environment.

Do you supply scaffolding for external decoration? Yes we supply our own scaffold.

What happens if there is accidental damage to my property? We have insurance cover up to £5,000,000. If any damage has been caused due to any work carried out by us then a claim will be hastily resolved.

When do I pay? We only require payment on completion of work. We may require a deposit on larger projects... This will be agreed before work commences.
